The editors of Sensors have selected eleven gold, silver, and bronze
winners in three categories for the Best of Sensors Expo awards,
presented at Sensors Expo & Conference Spring 2003 in Rosemont, IL.
With the Best of Sensors Expo awards, the editors of Sensors, the
leading publication in the sensors industry for over 19 years,
recognize new products that they predict will significantly impact the
use of sensing in designs and applications.
There were two Gold-Level awards in the category of DATA ACQUISITION PRODUCTS:
MicroStrain's EmbedSense Es-2, a small wireless sensor and data
acquisition system, enables the creation of smart structures,
materials, and machines. It uses an inductive link to receive power
from an external coil and returns digital strain, temperature, and ID
data; it eliminates antenna and power consumed by RF communications.
