PALO ALTO, Calif.--Dec. 2, 2004--Frost & Sullivan has acknowledged MicroStrain, Inc.'s exceptional
product innovation ability in pioneering the production of the wireless accelerometer. Its product line of wireless
accelerometer systems is called G-Link®
G-Link® is a high-speed, triaxial accelerometer node created by combining micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS)
accelerometers with micro data logging transceiver systems. This product can uniquely connect to 26 different on-stream
G-Links® simultaneously.
The G-Link® wireless accelerometer nodes in each packet contain 2 KHz sweep rates and are combined with 2 Mbytes flash
memory. Extraordinarily, the package weighs barely 20 grams and is extremely compact.
"The wireless communication is facilitated by the highly specialized proprietary software developed by MicroStrain®," says
Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Dr. Rajender Thusu. "This enables the measurement of dynamic responses for structural
health monitoring of buildings in civil engineering and condition monitoring of machines in industrial applications."
