Senator Leahy Tours Williston's MicroStrain Inc., Announces $3.7M in Contracts
Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), right,
toured MicroStrain Inc., of Williston, Vt., July 5. MicroStrain has developed
an airframe fatigue monitor for U.S. Naval
aircraft, and Leahy has helped the Vermont business secure $3.7 million in Navy
contracts for the production and manufacturing of the system. During the tour,
Leahy received a live demonstration of the new technology from MicroStrain
President and CEO Steve Arms.
