Our "Torque-Link Timelapse" (3D print)

LORD Sensing's Torque-Link wireless torque monitoring node is a simple-to-install collar that provides highly accurate measures of torsional strain.

Since each collar is custom-designed to the user's specific requirements, we build it here in our Vermont offices with a 3D printer.

Recently, we built a 4.25" diameter collar for a customer over the course of 25 hours, and we filmed a time-lapse video to show how it all came together.

Ideal for real-time data acquisition and machine health monitoring of high-value assets, the G-Link-200 measures motion, vibration, acceleration/deceleration, tilt, and impact events.

Tech Note: Using a load cell with the new V-Link-200

The V- Link- 200 is an 8- channel wireless analog sensor node with 4 differential input channels (strain channels) designed to support strain gauges and load cells.

An S Beam Load Cell with a 50-pound capacity and 3 mV/V sensitivity is being used for this example.

G-Link-200: HALT Testing

Part of the rigorous field testing to which we recently subjected our new G-Link-200 wireless accelerometer node (before its release last month) was the Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT)—stress testing performed over the operating range of the device to industry specifications.

Among the components of the test was rapid thermal cycling from -40 °C to +85 °C with a simultaneous vibration ramp to 40 g RMS. Harsh environment indeed!

G-Link-200: ESD Testing

In a few weeks, we will be unveiling our latest wireless sensing innovation—the G-Link-200. It's a ruggedized high-speed triaxial accelerometer node with ± 2 to ± 8 g measurement range providing high-resolution data with 20-bit A/D converter at noise levels as low as 25 μg/√Hz.

Before its release, however, it has to undergo rigorous testing in a number of environments and situations.
