YouTube Video: SensorCloud™ Update

As we first mentioned back in our June/July Newsletter, LORD MicroStrain has launched a series of enhancements to the SensorCloud™ cloud-based sensor data platform.

Now LORD MicroStrain's Multimedia Communications Specialist Joe Shelley has crafted a brief video, which further outlines these changes.

We invite you to give it a watch, and if you're not already part of the SensorCloud family, you may visit SensorCloud.com now to sign up free.

New Product: WSDA®-1500-LXRS® Wireless Gateway

Speaking of SensorCloud™... On October 7, a major milestone was reached with the logging of the 100-billionth (yes-- billion with a 'B') data point.

Since its launch in 2011, SensorCloud has provided researchers with a unique sensor data storage, visualization, and remote management platform. SensorCloud leverages powerful cloud computing technologies to provide excellent data scalability along with rapid graphing and user-programmable online analytics.

We thank all of you who rely on SensorCloud; you have made it the success that it is today.

White Paper: How to Remove Signal Data Artifacts

A normalized time series plot of the data in the case study

Our latest white paper comes from Senior Mechanical Engineer Dan O'Neil, who develops wireless solutions for our aeronautical and industrial customers:

Here's an excerpt:

"Data collection requires follow-on signal processing, namely filtering. It is common to remove a specific component or frequency bandwidth of a data set in order to separate extraneous from pertinent data.  Proper filtering is necessary to achieve meaningful and accurate data for follow-on analysis, especially for analytics such as power spectral density.

"This Product How-To article explains how to remove signal data artifacts using a finite impulse response notch filter and a Python-based math platform..."

LORD MicroStrain Featured in CISCO "Internet of Everything" Video Series

LORD MicroStrain's ENV-Link™ and SensorCloud™ System at Shelburne Vineyards in Shelburne, Vermont, was featured recently in Cisco Systems' new "Internet of Things" video series.

The video shows how LORD MicroStrain's wireless sensor network technology introduces precision farming as a new way to maximize yield and enable the harvesting of crops previously thought to be unsuitable in particular environments.
