MicroStrain Internship Positions for Summer 2012
Mobile App developer Internship: Work with SensorCloud team to develop native iOS and Android applications for the SensorCloud platform (http://www.sensorcloud.com). Applicants should possess a background in CS/EE, and previous mobile app development experience is preferred.
Mechanical Engineering Internship: Work with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to create both 3D models and 2D drawings of our wireless sensing and energy harvesting products. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple machinists and implement your own design features.
Business Intelligence (BI) Internship: Work closely with operations & sales teams to adopt/develop/deploy cutting edge BI tools for extracting meaningful information from internal SQL databases. Should possess a technical background in CS, IT, Business Information Systems, or equivalent, and excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Embedded Systems Internship: Work with embedded systems team to integrate new cellular, AGPS, and satellite modem technologies with wireless sensor product line. EE/CS major required, and prior experience with ARM, TI, or MicroChip embedded development preferred.
Web UI/UX Design Internship: Assist software team in developing modern application interfaces for both the web and desktop that are simple, efficient, user-friendly, and functional. Creativity required, and must have experience with JavaScript and HTML/CSS. Knowledge of UI/UX best practices preferred.

Senior Software Engineer
MicroStrain is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to help lead the development of our new flagship desktop application. This will interface with a large range of MicroStrain's devices and sensors, and will provide our customers with seamless and efficient access to the measurement information provided by those devices.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of software development and basic computer theory, with a focus on desktop application development. Expertise and interest in GUI layout and architecture development is a must. The ideal candidate will also posses experience interfacing with hardware devices via a USB or serial connection.
Education and Experience:- BS in Computer Science or related field

Test/Applications Engineer
MicroStrain is looking for a creative and motivated engineer to significantly advance our product test and applications support capacity. This engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a new product test suite, specifically for our inertial sensor product line. This will address Qualification and Acceptance testing, as well as Application Specific Performance Testing.
The successful candidate will be capable of designing and implementing new test procedures. This may include specifying or designing relevant equipment and/or software for both lab and automated tests.

Documentation/Technical Writer

Embedded Systems Engineer
The Embedded Systems Engineer will be responsible for firmware development aspects of new product development programs, and for providing sustaining engineering support for existing product lines. Major focus of activities will be:
- Develop and test firmware for embedded sensing, DSP, and data aggregation platforms.
- Work with small team of mechanical, electrical and CS engineers for final software-hardware integration and test.
