Inertial Sensors Designed with Power, Reliability and Flexibility

LORD Sensing inertial sensors C-series package provides an OEM form-factor that is optimized for size and weight in Off Highway, Unmanned Ground Vehicles/Mobile Robots and Unmanned Aerial Systems. It’s compact and low-profile anodized aluminum housing can be connected directly to a printed circuit board using a UART header or a Samtec FFSD ribbon cable and 2-56 fasteners. The C-series provides superior thermal and mechanical isolation compared to surface mount inertial sensors which are susceptible to board-induced stresses and poor hysteresis which can result in reduced accuracy and higher drift over time.

CX Series OEM Inertial Sensors

The CX series is an OEM version of our GX series and has identical performance and features at a much lower cost. The CX series of sensors is the top performer of our C-series OEM packaged devices. It features higher accuracy and stability over temperature than the CV line. As with the CV line, the CX is available as an IMU, VRU, or AHRS. Additionally, we offer a GNSS/INS model with a 34 state Auto Adaptive EKF for outstanding position, velocity, and attitude performance.

CV Series OEM Inertial Sensors

The CV series of sensors offers lower cost, yet still high-performance inertial measurements in our C-series OEM package, which feature a very small, lightweight form factor. As with all our other inertial sensor families, these are available as an IMU, VRU, or AHRS, allowing you to choose and pay for only the functionality you need. These sensors excel where high performance is desired at a low cost and are a great middle ground for the CX sensor lines.

Applications

Off Highway Vehicles

  • Compact, state-of-the art inertial sensors with proven fifth generation high-performance industrial grade solid-state MEMS accelerometer and gyro inertial sensor technology.
  • Low-cost, compact size and full 360-degree measurement range about all axes
  • Full accuracy over the entire operational temperature range of -40°C to 85°
  • Auto-Adaptive Extended Kalman Filter for optimal dynamic accuracy and on-vehicle performance.

UNMANNED AERIAL SYSTEMS (UAS)

  • Bias tracking, error estimation, threshold flags, and adaptive noise modeling allow for fine tuning to conditions in each application
  • l Accelerometer noise as low as 25 ug/√Hz
  • Smallest and lightest industrial AHRS with Adaptive Kalman Filter available
  • Triaxial accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, temperature sensors achieve the optimal combination of measurement qualities
  • Dual on-board processors run a new Auto-Adaptive Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) for outstanding dynamic attitude estimates

MOBILE ROBOTICS

  • Low-noise, linear, and stable MEMS gyros and accelerometers enable superior heading accuracy during turns & bumps
  • Auto-adaptive Kalman Filter algorithms provide exceptional dynamic performance
  • Auto self-calibration and automatic anomaly rejection make units with magnetometer reliable and accurate heading reference
  • Fully calibrated and temperature compensated IMUs provide stable performance in demanding environments
